The Education Ministry has announced new measures to limit the spread of Covid-19 in schools and other education institutions nationwide.
The Covid-19 prevention measures, effective immediately, are:
- Each agency will conduct a “Thai Stop Covid Plus” assessment, which is designed to help schools and businesses evaluate their Covid-19 control measures. They should always follow DMHT-RC (removal, masks, hand washing, detection, decongestion, and cleaning) and SSET-CQ (personal care, use of serving spoons, consumption of freshly prepared food, use of “surveillance,” monitoring, and quarantine systems) measures.
- Each educational institution should thoroughly assess students and faculty who are at risk of contracting the virus.
- If students or educational staff test positive for Covid-19, these institutions must strictly adhere to disease control protocols and coordinate closely with local health agencies.
- Students and teachers who are at risk should consider offering distance learning options. These include real-time, online, on-site, and on-demand learning, depending on the specific circumstances of each institution.
