Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. recently received the Green Industry Level 4 certificate for the Laem Chabang factory in Chonburi province from the Ministry of Industry. The Green Industry Level 4 certificate, which has recently been awarded to Mitsubishi Motors Thailand, is given to businesses that cannot only integrate environmental and social responsibility into the organization’s culture but can also constantly implement, evaluate and further develop such systems.
Mr Koito added that “We have used Waterborne Paint technology that can reduce VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) emissions and built a wastewater treatment system in line with the 3Rs waste management principles by reducing Use (Reduce), reuse (Reuse) and recycle (Recycle) to reduce raw water use less and reduce wastewater emissions. In addition, we have also installed solar panels on the factory roof. and use solar energy in our car manufacturing process. The goal is to reduce CO2 emissions by more than 6,100 tons per year.”
