Where to park our vehicles when visiting Thonglor/Ekkamai area

Finding parking in Bangkok downtown is usually time-consuming and problematic, upsetting many car owners before the start of their fun in town. Coming down to Thonglor/Ekkamai can be a bigger challenge as parking beside the sidewalk is barely impossible and parking fees at some places can be concerning. Here is the list of friendly-priced parking services offered by some places in the area.



Ekamai Parking

  1. Wat That Thong (That Thong Temple)
    – next to Sukhumvit Road heading towards Bangna
  • Close to BTS Ekkamai Exit 3. 
  • Available from 6 AM – 10 PM
  • For cars: 20 baht/hour after the first free hour
  • For Motorcycle: 20 baht/hour after the first free hour
  • Monthly parking fee available for 2,000 baht.
  1. Gateway Ekkamai
  • Next to Sukhumvit Road heading to Siam. 
  • Available from 10 AM – 10 PM
  • For cars: free for the first 2 hours or free for 4 hours with purchases over 500 baht or free 6 hours for purchases over 1,500 baht. Otherwise, the 3rd-4th hour is 20 baht/hour, 7th hour onwards is 50 baht/hour
  • For motorcycles: free parking.
  1. Ekkamai Cooperative 
  • Located on Sukhumvit Road, under Ekkamai BTS, with The Coffee Club to spot.
  • Available from 6 AM – 11.59 PM
  • For cars: free for the first 1 hour, the next 4 hours for 20 baht in total, and 5 hours onwards is 20 baht/hour.
  1. Big C Ekkamai
  • About 700 meters away from the front of Soi. Sukhumvit 63
  • The first 15 minutes is free. With a stamp, the first 2 hours are free. Without a stamp, it is 30 baht/hour.

Thonglor Parking

  1. Siam Future Development 
  • Outdoor parking space opposite Thonglor Soi 5
  • Available from 6 AM – 10 PM
  • For cars: with a car stamp, the first 2 hours is 20 baht in total, the 3rd hour is 20 baht/hour, the 4th hour is 40 baht/hour, the 5th hour is 100 baht/hour. Meanwhile, without a car stamp, 100 baht/hour.
  1. Eight Thonglor
  • Indoor car park, located at Thonglor Soi 8, Sukhumvit 55 
  • Available from 7 AM – 11.59 PM
  • For cars: with a free stamp, the first 1 hour is free, the 2nd-3rd hour is 20 baht/hour, the 4th-6th hour is 50 baht/hour, the 7th-11th hour is 100 baht/hour. Meanwhile, without a stamp, the first 15 minutes is free, the first 3 hours is 100 baht/hour and the 4th-11th is 200 baht/hour.
  1. J Avenue Thonglor
    – In the center of Soi Sukhumvit 55, located in Soi Thonglor 15. 
  • There are 2 zones, either on the Villa Market side or in Soi Thonglor 13.
  • For cars, with a stamp, the first hour is 30 baht, the 2nd-4th hours is 50 baht/hour, and the 5th hour onwards is 100 baht/hour. Meanwhile, without a stamp, the first 30 minutes is free, and the next hour is 100 baht/hour.
  1. Donki Mall
    – Located in Soi. Thonglor 10.
    – For cars, with a stamp from Don Don Donki supermarket with over a 100THB purchase, the first 3 hours is 20 baht/hour and the 4th hour onwards is 50 baht/hour. Meanwhile, without a stamp, the first 3 hours is 50 baht/hour and the 4th hour onwards is 100 baht/hour. With purchases over 2,000THB of any business in the mall, you will get free 3 hours of parking.

It is recommended that you not park beside any sidewalk in Thonglor and Ekkamai area from 4 PM- 8 PM in order to avoid a parking fine worth 700 THB. Some sidewalks may allow you to park for a certain period of time of the day, but as the traffic rules vary according to the local police authority and no clear-cut announcement is made public, it is better to park at the proper building or space that offers legitimate parking service.
