The Government plans to hold four activities in Bangkok to attract tourists and help the tourism sector recover after Thailand’s measures for opening the country from 1 May 2022.
These activities are under the project “Unfolding Bangkok,” which will be held from June 2022 to January 2023, following the concept of Bangkok’s history and building new experiences for visitors.
The public can enjoy the following activities in “Unfolding Bangkok”:
1. Sound of Music. Live music and performances will be held at Benchakitti Park and department stores around Ratchaprasong district on Friday to Sunday during June to July 2023.
2. Greeting Bangkok. The public can visit many places, including “Temple Hopping” around Phranakorn and Thonburi district and “Hidden Bangkok,” for example, museums and official buildings.
3. Vivid Chaopraya. The activities will create vivid scenes along the Chaopraya River with lights and mapping on both sides. The scenes also aim to welcome APEC2022 visitors in November and celebrate as we lead up to the New Year in late 2022.
4. Living Hualampong. There will be developments at Hualampong station and the surrounding areas, including Padun Krung Kasem canal and the neighborhood around the canal. This activity will be held in December 2022 – January 2023.
