Vietnam, host of the ongoing 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games), will face Thailand in the event’s men’s soccer final.
The Vietnam national under-23 soccer team defeated Malaysia 1-0 at Viet Tri Stadium in the northern Phu Tho Province on Thursday night, while Thailand beat Indonesia 1-0 in the other semifinal at Thien Truong Stadium in the northern Nam Dinh Province on the same day.
The final will kick off at 7 p.m. local time on Sunday (May 22) at My Dinh National Stadium in the Vietnamese capital Hanoi, three hours after the kick-off time for the bronze medal match between Malaysia and Indonesia.
Vietnam’s women’s soccer team will also face Thailand in the women’s final scheduled for 7 p.m. local time on Saturday (May 21) at Cam Pha Stadium in the northern Quang Ninh Province.
