Thai Airways opens 737-400 aircraft auction today

Thai Airways auctioned off a 737-400 aircraft today (May 25) via the TG Warehouse page. It was reported that Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) submitted a request for the transfer of a B737-400 airframe in 2021 and was approved by Mr. Saksiam Chidchob, Minister of Transport.

Recently, Thai Airways’ TG Warehouse Sale Facebook page revealed that tomorrow (May 25) at 3:00 p.m., the page will conduct a tour of the B737-400 (Airframe) aircraft, this aircraft which has a long history with Thai Airways. This is an opportunity for business owners or those interested in making an offer.

The page also recommends that these aircraft can be transformed into air cafes to attract customers or put it on display.

According to the Planespotter website, the aircraft up for auction is a Boeing 737-400, registration HS-TDF, whose royal name in Thai is “Si Sa Ket”. It has been in service with Thai Airways since August 1992. It is 29 years and 9 months old.

Last March, Thai Airways opened the sale of seats of the Airbus A330-300 aircraft, sold in 30 pairs, at a price of 35,000 baht per pair, a total of 1,050,000 baht collected. All the customers had reserved within 30 seconds.
