The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is set to launch a new digital platform, “TAT Connex,” on 15 August 2024. The platform invites local and international Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), influencers, media representatives, and tourism-related businesses to register and participate. TAT Connex aims to enhance the promotion of Thailand’s tourism offerings by fostering online connections between influencers and businesses.
According to Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, the platform is a key element of TAT’s ongoing “Partnership 360” marketing strategy, which emphasizes a digital approach to advancing Thai tourism. “The TAT Connex platform is designed to bridge the online connection between influencers and businesses to generate greater publicity and promotion of Thailand’s tourism offerings,” Ms. Thapanee said. The initiative seeks to contribute to more sustainable and inclusive growth within the tourism sector.The platform is open to a wide range of participants, including KOLs, influencers, bloggers, media professionals, and celebrities. It connects these individuals with ten categories of tourism-related businesses: restaurants and diners, hotel accommodation and homestays, transportation, recreational activities and tourist attractions, travel agencies, health and beauty services, department stores and shopping centers, event and entertainment venues, and souvenir shops.Through TAT Connex, influencers and businesses can explore partnership opportunities and create tourism-related content across various social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X (formerly known as Twitter). The ultimate goal is to inspire more travel and increase tourism spending across Thailand.Businesses interested in joining the platform can register for free via the website www.tatconnex.com, while influencers can sign up through both the website and the TAT Connex mobile application, available on Android and iOS devices.It was reported that TAT officials are anticipating a significant increase in tourism-related content and partnerships following the platform’s launch.
