The body of a missing Russian woman was discovered on a beach in Samui Island, days after she was swept into the sea by a powerful wave. The incident occurred on Friday at a coastal viewpoint about one kilometer from the beach.
According to police, the woman was carried into the ocean by the wave while visiting the area. Her boyfriend, also a Russian national, identified the remains at Samui Hospital late last night.
Initial reports suggesting that two Russian nationals were missing were found to be incorrect. Investigators reviewed CCTV footage from the viewpoint and surrounding areas, confirming that only one individual was involved in the incident.
Authorities continue to emphasize caution for visitors to coastal areas, particularly during periods of high waves and unpredictable weather conditions.
