The mass shooting last week in Nong Bua Lamphu Province claimed the lives of 37 people, most of them kids. Buddhist temples around Thailand will organize prayer sessions for the victims.
On Thursday, October 6, a mass shooting in Na Klang District horrified Thailand and the rest of the globe.
Minister Anucha Nakasai has ordered the National Office of Buddhism to collaborate with monasteries in all provinces to hold prayer services as a tribute to the deceased and to grieve with the bereaved families.
Minister Anucha said it thus way in his own words:
“My heart goes out to the loved ones of the deceased. Nobody deserves to have their childhood cut short in such a way, especially not children. We are all deeply grieved and devastated by what has happened. The National Office of Buddhism is planning memorial events at Buddhist temples in remembrance of the victims. Grief and pain caused by this catastrophe can be eased by prayer.”
