Retail pricing are being carefully tracked by the Commerce Ministry

The Department of Internal Trade conducted price checks at strategic retail locations to curb price gouging. The agency has stated that current demand can be met with the available decent stock, even in flood-affected regions.

Big C Supercenter Tiwanon in Nonthaburi Province was recently inspected by the Department of Internal Trade. The examination was headed by the department’s Deputy Director General, Sub Lt. Chakra Yodmani, who reported no pricing discrepancies.

Every day, inspectors from the department visit establishments to urge shopkeepers to clearly display pricing.

The distribution center examined today has sufficient stock, and logistical channels are still functioning despite the ongoing flood calamity.

The mall has started a new sale with discounts of up to 60 percent and a buy-one-get-one deal on select products.

Customers who have been taken advantage of are encouraged to contact the 1569 hotline or their local commercial affairs office, since both are monitored by the Department of Internal Trade.
