The minister in charge of the Prime Minister’s Office has confirmed that Thailand is prepared to host the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting this week. He also admitted that APEC 2022’s portrayal of Thai identity will result in monetary benefits for Thailand.
Anucha Nakasai, minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, stopped by the media center on the LG floor of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre. Throughout APEC Economic Leaders Week, representatives of the press from all 21 APEC economies are using the facility.
Mr. Anucha met with the head of the Public Relations Department, together with officials from MCOT Plc. and the foreign affairs ministry, to discuss APEC media relations. The Public Relations Department’s efforts to promote APEC 2022 were outlined for the minister. In addition to learning about the media center’s space and operations, he was also given a tour.
There are two larger news conferences rooms and two smaller briefing rooms in the facility. There are drinks and snacks available in the common room. There is space for a news agency to set up shop, as well as media booths for the host broadcaster, foreign broadcaster, and local media.
When APEC Economic Leaders’ Week rolls around in 2022, it will be aired live from Thailand by the Mass Communication Organization of Thailand (MCOT). It broadcasts live video and audio of APEC meetings and festivities.
Mr. Anucha was happy with the level of preparation for hosting the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting. He continued by saying that their work will make a positive impact and show Thailand’s uniqueness in numerous ways. Indirectly and directly, this would have a significant positive impact on the economy.
Afterward, the minister met with members of the Thai and international journalists who were covering APEC activities at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
