To identify the greatest meals that embody Thai cuisine and sustainability, the Thai government has created the Future Food for Sustainability competition. After next month’s 2022 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week, country leaders will have a taste of the winning team’s creations.
Approximately 2,000 competing teams will be given the opportunity to work with professional chefs to develop original menu items.
Mr. Anucha Nakasai, Minister attached to the Office of the Prime Minister, has stated that this competition will provide Thai chefs with an opportunity to improve their craft and grow their businesses, all while promoting Thai cuisine, which is widely regarded as the country’s most valuable soft power.
The competition seeks to identify future recipes that mix Thai and ecological features in response to the growing interest in environmentally conscious cuisine.
The APEC Economic Leaders’ Week will be held in Thailand from November 14-19, and the winning team will have the honor of serving their meals to the world’s top leaders at that time.
